Janemarie was born on January 25, 1958 in Oakland, California to Howland Emerson Lake [42018:LM] and Nancy Eleanor (Lucas) Lake [41186:LM] of Pinole. She was raised in Pinole by her loving parents. She graduated from Pinole Valley High School and attended San Francisco State University.
Janemarie will be remembered for her kind and charitable heart. She spent most of her time caring for others. She was a preschool and after school care director for many years. She also spent several years looking after the elderly. She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her friends. She was an exceptional mother and grandmother. She absolutely adored her two daughters and three grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Janemarie had many friends. A little part of us is gone with her now.
Janemarie is survived by her daughters Emily Mendoza [47003:LM] and Melida Hernandez [47016:LM, fb], her grandchildren Benjamin and Claire Mendoza and Adrian Hernandez [54090:LM], her sisters Amybeth Lake [40884:LM, fb] and Cathy McCoy [47008:LM] and brother Thomas Lake [41229:LM], her nieces Gwendolyn West [44354:LM, fb], Julie Schuster [47006:LM, fb, fb] and Jennifer McCoy [47018:LM, fb], and nephews Robert West [44355:LM] and Christopher McCoy [47014:LM]. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Lake [47017:LM, fb, fb].
Memorial Service for Janemarie will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2015 at 11:00am at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA.
Mom, we will always love you more than tongue can tell.
